From Gävle, Sweden In Concert HERRSÄLLSKAPET   "The Gentlemen's Society" in Swedish Håkan Sund, Director Appearing prior to participation in The 2010 Eastern Division, AUSS Convention Manchester, VT       September 15-19 The APOLLO and  NORTH STAR SINGERS will perform two numbers with  HERRSÄLLSKAPET in concert Donation $9.00  Children under 10 are free Refreshments will be served  in the Rev. Owen Sanderson  Fellowship Hall  following the performance Sponsored by The Apollo Singing Society and The Scandinavian Womens Chorus of Connecticut Herrsållskapet's director, Håkan Sund is very well-known in international music circles having directed the best choral groups in Sweden, including the Swedish Radio Chorus, the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir, the Royal Philharmonic Choir and Orphei Drängar as well as many choruses in the U.S. Denmark, Norway and Finland. He has also directed symphony orchestras in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy and Portugal and has performed as a piano soloist in a number of the prestigious concert halls including Carnegie Hall and as the accompanist for many widely known Swedish soloists. Currently he conducts four choruses in Sweden as well as being a senior lecturer at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and teaches piano and conducting.
