Herrsållskapet's director, Håkan Sund is very well-known in international music circles having directed the best choral groups in Sweden, including the Swedish Radio Chorus, the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir, the Royal Philharmonic Choir and Orphei Drängar as well as many choruses in the U.S. Denmark, Norway and Finland. He has also directed symphony orchestras in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Italy and Portugal and has performed as a piano soloist in a number of the prestigious concert halls including Carnegie Hall and as the accompanist for many widely known Swedish soloists. Currently he conducts four choruses in Sweden as well as being a senior lecturer at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and teaches piano and conducting.
