About District Lodge Lake Michigan No.8

We are a District Lodge of the Vasa Order of America, a Fraternal Society originally established for the benefit of Swedish immigrants more than a century ago, but now dedicated to preserving and sharing our Swedish and Nordic culture and heritage.

At our meetings, you will find an opportunity to socialize with fellow members who share common history and interests.

Explore the Departments in the left sidebar to find out more about our calendar of events and our activities. Follow the Links in the right sidebar to explore the structure or purpose of the Vasa Order of America and to view activities of other lodges.

You will find links to the web sites of our Local Lodges there as well.
Membership is open to men and women over 14 years of age with Nordic roots, (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish or Icelandic) and their spouses who would like to rediscover the traditions of their forefathers; and to those who are not of Nordic ancestry but who are committed to the promotion and advancement of Swedish and Nordic heritage and culture.

If you do not wish to apply for membership at this time, but are interested in Nordic culture and heritage, you are most welcome at our open events.
