We are a local lodge of the Vasa Order of America, a Fraternal Society originally established for the benefit of Swedish immigrants a century ago, but now dedicated to preserving and sharing our Scandinavian culture and heritage.
We meet at St. James Episcopal Church, 1815 Seven Locks Road in Potomac, Maryland on the second Sunday of each month, with the exception of July and August (our picnic meetings are at Carderock Park). More details can be found at our web site: http://www.drott-lodge.org
At our meetings, you will find an opportunity to socialize with fellow members of Scandinavian roots sharing common history and interests.
Our activities include our Welcome Back Pot Luck Dinner in September, our Swedish Bazaar on the first Saturday in November, our Christmas Lucia in December, our Peasoup Dinner in the spring, our joint Midsommar Picnic with the American Scandinavian Association and the Finlandia Foundation in June, and other events.

You are eligible for membership if you are at least 14 years of age - (there is no upper limit), and you are of Scandinavian ancestry or birth, (Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, or Swedish) or are the spouse or widow of a Vasa member or if you just have a great interest in becoming a member of our lodge.
If you do not meet the qualifications of membership above, but are interested in Scandinavian culture or heritage, you are most welcome at our open events.
