About Lodge Kronan No. 179

Kronan No. 179 is celebrating their 100th year anniversary! Everyone is welcome to join current members for the celebration on September 26, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Skokie, IL beginning at 2pm. Stay tuned for more details!

Kronan No. 179 was founded on September 6, 1910 in Chicago, IL as a local lodge under the Vasa Order of America, a Fraternal Society originally established for the benefit of Swedish immigrants, currently dedicated to preserving and sharing our Swedish and Nordic culture and heritage.

Regular meetings for Kronan No. 179 are held the 4th Sunday of each month at Svithiod Hall (5516 W. Lawrence Ave. Chicago, IL) begining at 1pm.

Membership is open to men and women over 14 years of age who are committed to the promotion and advancement of Swedish and Nordic heritage and culture.
