About Lodge Linné No. 153

Linné No.153 was founded in 1909 in South Bend, IN as a local lodge under the Vasa Order of America, a Fraternal Society originally established for the benefit of Swedish immigrants, currently dedicated to preserving and sharing our Swedish and Nordic culture and heritage.

In the distant past, meetings were held in a Vasa Hall located at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Cedar Street in Mishawaka.

Today, regular meetings for Linné No. 153 are held the 1st Sunday of each month at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall (225 Haney Avenue, South Bend, IN) beginning at 2 p.m. South Bend Time.

Linné No. 153 celebrated its 100th year anniversary in 2009! As we enter the second century of existence, we welcome visitors and new members to our monthly meetings and special events. Membership is open to anyone over 14 years of age who is interested in promoting and advancing Scandinavian heritage and culture.
